Services We Offer

Special Orders: For bridal gowns, veils, bridesmaids, graduation gowns and mother's special occasions, a 12-16 week delivery period is customary. These garments are cut to the manufacturer's schedule and sizing.

Rush Cuts are often available. Expect delivery in eight to ten weeks, for an additional fee (per gown) imposed by the manufacturers. This does not include a rush freight charge, if required.

50% Deposit is required at the time of order and is non refundable. The next scheduled payment is due within 30 days of your original purchase as outlined on your bill. All bills must be paid in full before your occasion date and before items may leave the store.

Establishing the Size to be Ordered Together we will compare the size chart provided by the manufacturer to your measurements. At this point you will be ready to choose the size you wish to be ordered. (This is not a made-to-measure garment and may require alterations.)

Alterations at Friends of the Bride are available, for an additional charge. A qualified and skilled seamstress is available on-site by appointment only.

Dry Cleaning: Friends of the Bride is a drop off and pick up location only, for professional dry cleaning and gown preservation. All prices quoted are approximate until the work is completed. Please understand we are unable to be held responsible for dry cleaning services as these are completed outside of Friends of the Bride.

Pick Up Package: As part of our full service, we offer one complimentary pressing and will protect your gown in a zippered garment bag or a protective sleeve for transportation. We suggest you remove your gown from the bag and hang it so that it will require minimal care before wearing.

To Prepare for your Fitting

  • Make an appointment for a 1st fitting at least four to six weeks before your special occasion date.
  • Please bring (or make arrangements to purchase at Friends of the Bride) the bra or boustier, crinoline and shoes so that the gown will be fitted correctly. This will help avoid wasting your time and money for additional alterations.
  • The second fitting will be arranged at the conclusion of your first fitting, and a quote for the alterations will be given at that time, to ensure that both the seamstress and the client are informed. Any concerns should be discussed with her at that time.

* The above information is vital to all parties involved. Please share it with all your bridesmaids, so there will less confusion and more happy faces as your special day approaches.
